    • Important Update

On May 15, 2021 Father Ayub sent a letter to all parishoners of Saint Michael's with an update to the COVID-19 response policy at our parish.

    • Important Update

On February 12, 2021 Bishop Walkowiak sent a letter inviting all Catholics who are healthy and able to return to Mass this Lent while also extending dispensation until further notice for those who are unable to attend in person because of health reasons or other factors.  For more information, please visit the COVID-19 response page for the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

    • Important Update

On December 18th, 2020 the Michigan Bishops released a statement regarding the ethical concerns of the COVID-19 vaccines.

    • Important Update

On December 15th, 2020 Bishop Walkowiak issued a directive to extend the dispensation for all Catholics within the territory of the Diocese of Grand Rapids from their obligation of attending Sunday Mass through Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17.

      • Public Masses and the celebration of the sacraments continue with the appropriate COVID-19 mitigation strategies (English | Español) in place. Those who are able to attend Mass should return, remembering that our physical presence at the Eucharistic table is irreplaceable. These mitigation strategies need to be followed to ensure public Masses remain available.
      • This dispensation is granted broadly to ensure that anyone who needs to stay home can do so in good conscience. If you are homebound, please contact your parish to inquire about the ability to have Communion brought to you.
      • While this dispensation is in effect, all baptized Catholics are reminded of their obligation to keep the Lord’s Day holy. Mass from the Cathedral of Saint Andrew will continue to be televised Sundays at 10 a.m. on FOX 17 and livestreamed on the diocesan website and Facebook page.

  • Prayer for the Sick & Distressed

    • O Heavenly Father, God of Love, You gave us Your Son Jesus to be not only Physician of our souls but also Healer of our bodies and minds. Lord Jesus, We turn to You in this time of illness. Please come to us now, and lay Your healing hand on us and all who are in need of your Mercy. Let the warmth, peace and healing power of Your Spirit fill all of us now with Your life and love. We receive You, Lord Jesus! Heal us according to Your Divine Will, Lord Jesus, and enable us to serve You with a healthy body, soul, and spirit. May Your Joy, O Lord, be our strength this day. Amen.
